RAPTURE
In the darkened dead of night
and cold chilled wintry air.
I hear a heart that's beating bright
a burning bright red flare.
And on those lonely darkened eves,
When sorrow rules my thought.
A soothing voice so much relieves
the pains that keep me caught.
A gentle laugh a precious smile
that warms me to my core.
And of each memory, catch and file,
and in my heart now store.
Each vision I in heart replay
Not hard to understand,
If all I knew was gone today
I'd still be a happy man.
In that night I sense and feel
a heart that beats with mine.
A right in rhythm rolling wheel
until the end of time.
Of all the gifts she's given me
One precious one shines pure
A heart that might as be my own
twines our souls in rapture.
